Eligibility Criteria

 

• Age: 16-25 yrs.

• Any cancer diagnosis

• Catchment area: Any young person being supported by Young Lives v Cancer, Teenage Cancer Trust (Birmingham teams )or Nurse Specialist in West Midlands.

• Only one Mockingbird Trust treat will be granted to a young person, but we are happy to provide a treat if they have already had a treat/experience/wish from another charity.

• Experience to be carried out in the UK, but we can provide overnight stays if within the budget.

• We can include travel where within the budget.

• Budget is up to £1,000.

• We are currently aiming to provide two treats per month.

• We aim to get back to the referrer within 48 hours of receiving a referral, contact the young person within five working days and get the treat planned or booked within a month (where it is more urgent, we will aim to do this more quickly)
