What We Do

Young people with life limiting illnesses often spend a lot of their time at hospital appointments and undergoing treatment. We know that the focus at this time can be on the medical condition, and this can make

it extremely difficult to find the time and energy to arrange special

experiences with loved ones all to enjoy together, away from the doctors and hospitals.

Here at the Mockingbird Trust, we arrange trips and events for the young person or the whole family, taking the organisational and financial strain away in the hope of giving some relief from the daily stresses being faced.

We find out what the young person would like to do,

as well as making suggestions of trips and activities that they can share.

Each event is tailored to the young person and we take away the headache of any transport, logistics and costs so that they are able

to concentrate on what’s important, enjoying spending time together with amazing experiences.

The Mockingbird Trust was set up in October 2016

by the family of Anna Wilkinson.

We have organised a large number of treats including tickets to Wimbledon, weekends away, Safari Park Lodge Stays, meals out and tickets to see some of the biggest music stars in the world.

If you know someone who could be helped by us, let their social worker know and ask them to complete and return the referral form below to us.
